9-day Level 1 Camp April 21st to 29th Where the journey begins.
When it comes to learning new skills there is nothing more important than the basics....and this camp is at the very foundation of achieving true success with horses. For most people, their journey with horses begins with a leg already over the saddle but so much depends on first developing a great relationship with your horse, based on rapport and understanding, to create a stronger, safer, more secure connection that will see you in good stead in your ridden partnership also.
No matter what your goal, whether it be competition, recreation, work or sport, the fundamental importance of getting ‘The Basics’ right is the same for all endeavours and disciplines. And that is in learning how to effectively relate to, connect and communicate with your horse. And the really great thing is that once you have learned and developed these skills, you’ll have them with you for a life time.
In this course we cover all aspects of the Level 1 portion of the Quantum Savvy programme.....and some.....to help you develop the confidence and skill to communicate with your horse effectively both on the ground and in the saddle.
Topics we’ll cover during the camp; catching - leading - picking up hooves - trailer loading - general ground skills & handling - safe saddling & mounting - rein positions - rider dynamics - patterns and programmes to develop a safe and enjoyable ridden partnership - leadership, confidence on the ground and in the saddle and much more.
