She Did It!

Yesterday we tried the leg-lifting again. And we succeeded I started do it with the clicker, so everytime she lifted her leg - click and reward. Nelly understood it sooo fast, I was totally suprised and totally happy. She's the best horse in the world

We're Getting Started

Yesterday we finally started with the homework cards for lesson 1...our QS journey starts   We started with the skills check....I could touch Nelly all over her body with my hands, the stick and the string. Contact yield was very good. Sometimes I had the feeling Nelly was a little bit bored as she started to put her nose in the sand and started playing with it. The no contact yield was ok but could be a little bit better. We will keep on working on that. Backwards by the nose and the chest was not a problem When we started to go forward by the nose Nelly was totally confused and started moving backwards. I then tried to move her hindquartes as Shane explained in the Lesson 1 video and that trick helped very much I could then lead Nelly forwards and backwards by the nose without any problems. But the thing with raising the feet....yeah Nelly was looking like she was asking "what are you doing with that stick on my legs?" She did not move a muscle, not even shift her weight. So that's a thing we need to practice a lot more
