  3. As the year draws to an end, I have started to reflect on the progress both Eli and I have made this year. Whilst we have achieved a big milestone this year by completing level 1, I feel our greatest achievement is reflecting on where both started in this program and how proud and excited I am to see what the future holds for us. I feel very grateful to have meet Allan and Vicki who introduced me to the Quantum Savvy programme, which had me join up as a member even though I did not have my own horse. Searching for a horse I connected with was a long process but the day I meet Eli (or what he was known as then ‘gun smoke\ Smokey’), I knew we both had something to learn from each other. Whilst the progress was slow, almost two years in the making, we developed confidence in ourselves and each other. I recorded my first attempt at liberty the other week and as I was moving my sting over his back, I had a very ‘proud horse lover moment’, as I had a flashback of the terrified, snorting, rearing Eli back when he saw the stick and string for the first time. Reflecting back on how far we have come, has made me realise how lucky I was to have found Eli at that moment and to help him through the program that has given him the confidence to think through situations, move towards release and comfort. I worry about what kind horse he would have been labelled and what kind of treatment/training he might have endured had we not met at the right time. We celebrated our level 1 achievement with a beautiful canter on the beach and we also enrolled in the summer lessons with Meredith. I am so excited for the future and I am really enjoying developing our connection. Eli has taught me so much about myself and can’t wait to see what else we can achieve together.
  4. Was a great Weekend. Cannot wait for the next one, counting down already and working through my homework cards..
  5. Thank you everyone for your advice, I really appreciate it. Please keep me in mind Meredith when those saddle racks become available- I'm very keen to purchase one. Thank you again
  6. Hi, I'm Just after some advice on how best to look after, care/clean and store my QS saddle. Ive never had a saddle brand New before and unfortunately I missed the horse wellness day when Peter Vellacott gave his talk. Did he happen to give any advice on what products are best for the leather to keep it clean, and help prevent any major defects or how best to treat the leather (frequency etc) Also did he mention the ideal way to store the saddle, ie saddle racks Vs stands. I had messaged him about sending me a picture/details of saddle stands he makes but I haven't heard anything - hoping he may have mentioned these during his decision. Im loving and enjoying my QS saddle so much, I just want to make sure I take of it the best possible way I can. Thank you in advance Chrissie
  7. I'm happy to help where ever you need it
