Major Excitment For Europe In 2011

Recommended Posts

Yep....it's true. You've been asking for it and wondering when it was going to happen and now in 2011 the dream is coming true. Shane and I will be doing QS Professionals Training Courses in the UK during our 2011 summer tour. Hooray!

*Instead of having to come all the way to Australia to realise your dreams you can now do your training as close as Surrey England.* (see note below)

Thanks largely to Monica and her enthusiasm and drive and her willingness to help it all happen, we've been in discussion about this and now have some dates and courses available for those of you wanting to take the next step and become a part of the QS Team.

So....what is on offer???

GROUP ORGANISER CONFERENCE

AUGUST 8TH & 9TH

ORIENTATION WEEK (Entry Level Instructors)

AUGUST 10TH TO 14TH

PROFESSIONALS CONFERENCE

AUGUST 15TH TO 18TH

All GO's are invited to join us for 2 days of fun and sharing ideas at the GO conf. This is a great way to catch up, meet each other, share ideas and inspiration and talk directly to Shane and I about your groups. I hope you can join us.

And yes....we will be training new instructors during the Orientation Week. How exciting. So hopefully we'll have some actual, live QS Instructors in Europe come September 2011!!! For those interested, please do check out all the info re becoming an Instructor, Agent or Foundation Trainer. You'll find a link on the front page of the forum and GO's there is also a link to all info in the GO area.

So future INstructors.....get stuck into your L2 and get those applications in.

* for the time being, the Ultimate Horse Course will still need to be done in Australia. We hope to have this course available in the UK in future. This is the one and only trip to Oz that you will need to make though.

These events will all be in Surrey ~ England. Exact venue details and times to be announced a little later.

Sounds good Meredith!

My only query though is when/at what stage does the Ultimate Horse course need to be done?

As I can't travel abroad at the moment or in the forseeable couple of years due to my youngest son.

It is huge news isn't it! We are very excited too. I really hope this opens the doors for those of you who are wanting to play a greater role in the QS family / team. Shane and I are always trying to find ways to make things easier and more accesible for our students so this in the next progression for our European cousins.

Sarah you need to have successfully complete d the Utimate to be an Instructor so you'd either need to do it the May before the Orientation Week or the May after. I hope that gives you something to plan around.

So lets go girls (and boys).....now that we've done this I'd love to see some of you take on this challenge and get your L2 and help us take QS to the World!!! Yippee!:clapping:

I'm going to Great Ormand Street Hospital again this week (big childrens specialist hospital in London) so can ask them if they know of anyway around things. My problem is to go to Australia would mean being away for a little while and I wouldn't be able to get back if my son became critically (life threateningly) ill and went to hospital. He has open hospital access in the UK and needs to be within a hours drive of a hospital and within 20mins of a ambulance pretty much at all times.

It's a very kind offer that I could take him with me but the change in time zones and food may mean he doesn't eat/gets sick which will mean a direct stay in hospital. Also he has had blood tests come back recently to say he doesn't make two of the three correct antibodies people need so he has very low immunity to disease and NO immunity to things like tetnus, and all the things babies have vaccinations for which is my main worry at the moment, he needs further tests to be done shortly to know how problematic his lack of immunity will be.

Meredith - When would you need to know by? Also is there a approx cost at the moment? I will do my best to see if there is a safe way around things but it might take a little while to find out.
