It's amazing, isn't it?  It's like a switch being flipped.  At first it seems impossible, then you get it once, and then it becomes the norm!

An amazing amount of learning took place in Europe this month.  Reading the posts in this thread, there have been so many achievements and paradigm shifts.  So many comfort zones stretched.  Congratulations everyone! Fear (on whatever level and in whatever context) is a terrible thing but the only way through it is to stretch ourselves and our horses.  Our horses need us to do that for them however hard it is for us so thank you Meredith for coming all the way over to help us do just that.  And thank you participants for putting yourselves out there and being so supportive of each other.  The QS family really is special.

To be honest I am still processing.  Luna and I did all 10 days - level 1, Impulsion/Collection, HiM and liberty.  The biggest and most obvious thing was, of course, release!  To let go of her head and not shut down that front end. To open up my seat, to ride the outside of my horse and focus.  Focus on the space (even when you think there is none!) Oh and of course the little known secret ...that horses have 4 legs!  On paper this all seems so obvious but these words have taken on a new meaning for me.  My young horse did so well - 10 full days.  That's a lot more than 45 minutes a day with days off in between.  And the liberty was the last event and she still chose to be with me.

This is us at the end!
