About Me

I'm one of those girls who fell in love with horses at a young age. Parents wouldn't buy me one, so at 17, I bought my first pony (taffy mare) at Homebush NSW sale yards. Parents didn't know for six months that I owned a horse Posted Image

I was fortunate to work for a successful horse trainer when I was in my earlier years and while I wasn't in the stables, I would spend my lunchtimes with some pretty special champions. Posted Image I've spent some wonderful time at Yagoona NSW RSPCA too and have been involved bringing back to health cruelty and neglect cases that included horses.

I've had a couple of horses since my taffy mare, but didn't really start to understand them until a few years ago when I found the 'other' program - what an eye opener Posted Image

My savvy goals are genuine and honest - I want to understand the whys and hows of communicating and building relationships with horses while along the way continue to develop my own style and self awareness.

I'm not an expert - I'm a student; I know a little - but not nearly enough. My riding is going to improve. The Posted Image may provide hints on my spirituality which I find is in harmony with the way I wish to be with critters, people and life in general. (I tend to slip sometimes on a Posted Image and I find that I waiver between a steak and salad Posted Image )

Miss M, my arab mare passed away 2011 Posted Image and I still miss her dearly.

Now I'm working working with a laid back brood mare TB. She raced as Avalon Sunset - I call her Skye.
