Congratulations Fiona Prescott

18 September 2017 - 10:24 PM

Shane and I would personally like to congratulate QS Student, Instructor and Agent Fiona Prescott of Qld, on becoming our newest Grade 2 Horse Trainer.

Reaching Grade 2 in Horse Training is a massive accomplishment that takes an extremely high level of skill and an even higher level of commitment, focus, determination and humility.

Fiona you have done an extraordinary job with your horsemanship and we both commend and respect you highly.  Well done.  And how lucky are all the horses and their owners who will find themselves in your care.  Congratulations.

QSports Nationals Nov 4th 2017

03 August 2017 - 01:17 PM

Hi Team.....it's that time of year again....gearing up for QSports Nationals....this year to be held back in Qld again at the Rathdowney Showgrounds. We have our date, we have our venue, we have about half of our committee, but we seriously could do with some more help.

Primarily we are looking for a social committee (2 or more people to put together the dinner and presentation night as well as food / drinks etc on the day.....I must add that the venue have some meal options available for us so we really just need someone to make sure it all happens), we also need someone secretarial to keep track of all our notes and stuff!....and to keep us on track, a couple of folk to help with sponsors, as well as helpers on the day.  We're looking for about 6 of these.  Oh and we need some more judges.

Our aim is to have plenty of helpers on the committee so it's light work for the most part.  That way everyone still gets to compete and have fun on the day.

So ideally we could do with another 6 - 10 people to help make our special day, really special, really memorable and wildly successful so we can showcase the incredible talent and skill of our QS Horsemen.

If you would like to help in some way, we would love to hear from you asap.  So please do get in touch with myself, Lorraine, Georgia or Fiona and let us know what you'd like to do.  Every bit of help is greatly appreciated.

Thanks everyone.

M :)

26 July 2017 - 11:03 AM

Level 1 Mini-camp with Meredith Ransley

This event is for all riders working on Level 1, especially those who have been working on it for a little while and are keen to finish it and get a head start on Level 2. We'll be looking at furthering your leadership and communications skills with ground work sessions in the morning and then taking those skills and applying them in the afternoons with ridden sessions.

Anyone working on level 1 will get loads from this event and the combination of riding and ground work each day will see you all maximizing your progress.

Costs for riders - £520

L1 Camp and L2/L3 Ridden camp riders receive free auditor tickets for the entire summer programme.

Please note there will be an additional fee of £10 per day for all participants, payable on arrival, to help cover the costs of the venue.

Please do try and camp over - it really does make for a more complete learning experience! You can't beat staying in that learning bubble. And the more the merrier!

L2/L3 Ridden Camp with Meredith - Surrey UK

26 July 2017 - 11:02 AM

Level 2 / 3 Ridden camp with Meredith Ransley

This camp again is a fabulous combination, this time of two major subjects, Impulsion and Collection. We'll spend the mornings working on achieving impulsion at all gaits and building horse and rider confidence. The afternoons we'll look at collection and how developing self carriage through impulsion can lead to collection with out force or leverage resulting in a truly soft; light, willing horse.

All in a hackamore (halter really!).

Ridden camp riders will need basic kit, saddle, hackamore and a fit ball.

Everyone will need a note pad and pen.

Rider Costs;
£865
Auditors;
£15 full days, £10 half days

L1 Camp and L2/L3 Ridden camp riders receive free auditor tickets for the entire summer programme.

Please note there will be an additional fee of £10 per day for all participants, payable on arrival, to help cover the costs of the venue.

Please do try and camp over - it really does make for a more complete learning experience! You can't beat staying in that learning bubble. And the more the merrier!

Looking forward to seeing you all!
