Quantum Savvy Group Organizer Interview- 07/2007
Carmen Lanford
Group - Silver City Practice Group
Area: Broken Hill far Western N.S.W Australia
Group Formed: November 2005
Level: Working on Level Two with Pauly
Horse: Pauly a 16 year old Standard bred & Deni a 2 year old Quarter horse cross Appaloosa.
Quantum Savvy Student for: 3 Years
Horsie Background:
I rode my cousins' horses when I was young and was so jealous of them as I couldn’t have my own horse. I worked on a Cattle station (Lissadell Station) near Kununurra in WA for one and a half years mustering cattle on horses. After that I started doing Level One and attended Mel Peacock’s schools in Broken Hill from 2004. I went to Mildura in the start of 2006 for an RFT Clinic with Shane and Meredith and then attended the Level Two Quantum Savvy Experience in 2006. Pauly and I also recently joined in at the Building Rapport Clinic in Broken Hill.
Why you started with Quantum Savvy:
After returning to Broken Hill from Lissadell I wanted to continue doing something with horses. I then met Mel and found out she was involved with QS. I went as an Auditor to the next school which Shane & Meredith were holding in Broken Hill and I have not looked back.
Goals:
Short term to finish Level Two with Pauly and go trail riding on him. Long term, start level three with Pauly and to use my skills I have learnt with Pauly to play with Deni (my young horse). Long Long Term, goal is to race a standard bred. After finding how stiff and sore Pauly was at the end of his racing career and to see all the human gadgets that they put on them, I would like to use QS principals and have a go.
Claim to fame:
Pauly and I starring in the soon to be released ‘100 Things to do with Your Horse’ Level Two DVD.
What drives you?
The Love for horses, to see and feel the changes Pauly and I have gone through with the QS program. It is amazing to think what we can achieve in the future. Being a GO, it is great to watch other people start QS and see the changes the people and horses go through as they progress through the program and the support we all give each other through our journey.
Anything else you’d like to add: :
Thank you Shane, Meredith and Mel for helping Pauly and I live our dreams. Happy Horsing Everyone.

They have such a huge desire for learning to become better communicators with their horses and helping further that learning in a group setting with other people and their horses.
