Horse: Arab x paint called Tasha the Basha (have 11 more including some brand new foals)
Quantum Savvy Student: Since June 2006
Horsie Background:Was born around horses. Family bred trotters and it just started from there. Loved watching the western films, and always wanted to ride like the Indians. Did showing, one day eventing and western. Now breed coloured welsh/arabs.
Why you started with Quantum Savvy:I have tried a few other ‘natural’ horsemanship type programmes and instructors and although I enjoyed the idea and the things I learnt I didn’t really feel that I was making the kind of progress I would have liked and although I felt I had some skills I wanted to feel more confident with my horses. I felt I needed a new beginning and a better under- standing of horsemanship. My hubby’s cousin Veronica Clifton (Ronnie)’s pamphlets of horseman- ship and what she was achieving with
Quantum Savvy showed me what I needed to hear so I took the plunge and started. I loved it so much I started a Practise Group almost straight away and now I get to practise and share it with my friends too!!!
Goals:To ride like the Indians (black stallion eat ya heart out – hehe) To go through the levels, build my confidence (which I already am!!) and to share QS with as many people as possible.
I have a number of horses at home and I’d like to see them all have a great life and to be happy and con- fident. My new horse Murphy is a great example. After only a few months he is already so much more confident and happy and trusting of people. It’s so great to see.
Claim to fame:Training my mini donkey and mini horses to go in the cart so I could pick the kids up from school – wow loved it! I used to drive my cart with the donkey and the pony in harn- ess all around the streets in my area.
What drives you?My love for horses.
Anything else you’d like to add:Just thank you to Meredith and Shane for doing a great job in forming our big happy and inspirational family. They taught me how to work through my deepest fears and survive…..where no others could!!!!!!!! I love the programme and what it is doing for me and my horses.
