Quantum Savvy Practice Group Interview- Oct 2007
The Sundowners Practise GroupGroup Organiser: Rhonda Collins
Location: Tamborine, Queensland /Australia
Group Formed: May 2007
The Sundowners Practise GroupOur group has only just begun our
Quantum Savvy journey. I started the group about May 2007 and we have had regular play days since then. I have found QS to be my saviour.
They have given me so much confidence in both myself and my horsemanship abilities. My boy Stormy really is such a great teacher for me. He is so confident, and so pushy, that I have had to step up to the challenge and show him who is the alpha. The reason I started this group, is I thought there must be a lot of people like me, who love their horses and want to spend time, improve their horsemanship and are looking for that
natural horsemanship methods. QS is the way and practice groups are a fabulous way to meet like minded people, have fellowship and a love and understanding of our horses.

The Sundowners Practise GroupOur group is pretty active in getting assignments in for coaching with a couple of us well into our Level 1 and one of us already with several Level 2 assignment cards under her belt. Yaaah Shirley and Patrick! A few of us have also done a number of clinics with Shane and Meredith.
We currently meet monthly at Tamborine, although we do have plans to visit other groups, have combined play days, and competition days as soon as we get ourselves more established. So watch out…. We just may invite you to our next games day and challenge you to test yourselves against our magnificent beasts!!!

Our mission is to always have fun and laughter whilst improving our skills and working on ticking our boxes on our homework cards. But most of all have quality time with our equine partners.
Our day usually begins with getting our horses settled into a yard, and having a chat over a cuppa, and get ourselves acquainted with each other. We then venture out, grab our equine partners and work through a few challenges, tick a few boxes and set ourselves a few tests, we may even play a little obstacle challenge. It is then off to lunch for a sit down and some chat over the morning’s events.

The Sundowners Practise GroupAfter lunch, depending on how the morning has gone, we may set our- selves some challenges like ‘walking our horses under a flapping tarp’, ‘play a game’, go for a ‘trail ride’ or do a passenger lesson.
I put a challenge out to you!.... come and check us out, see if you like what you see. All I ask is that you bring a sense of humour and be ready to have some fun.
Details of where and when we are next meeting can be found on the QS Calendar. Why not join us for the day, or just the morning if that is all you can spare, we would love to see you.
We are very proud of our fabulous Practice Groups at
Quantum Savvy. They have such a huge desire for learning to become better communicators with their horses and helping further that learning in a group setting with other people and their horses. Each month, one practice group is interviewed and featured on the website.
