Quantum Savvy Level Four Graduates
Will have achieved competency in the following tasks:
ASSIGNMENT ONE – CONTACT RIDING RE-BOUNDS
Tools– saddle and bridle
- Trot sideways showing 4 re-bounds, canter sideways showing 4 re-bounds, trot forward showing 4 re-bounds, and canter forward showing 4 re-bounds with lead changes. Trot diagonally and re-bound every 4 strides, canter diagonally and re-bound every 4 strides, canter straight and change leads every 4 strides, halt square relax and stand still.

ASSIGNMENT TWO – CONTACT RIDING ELEVATION OF STRIDE
Tools– saddle and bridle
- Walk-trot in place, walk-trot-canter pirouette L&R
- Canter ½ pirouette R, walk then canter ½ pirouette L x 2
- Canter ½ pirouette R, fly change then canter ½ pirouette L x 2
- In a straight line show 4 simple changes through the walk every 3-canter strides
- In a straight line show 4 fly changes every 3-canter strides
- Spin L&R, drop the reins and stand still

ASSIGNMENT THREE – NO CONTACT RIDING
Tools– Bareback pad and string, optional.
- Lay your horse down to mount, ride a 7mtr box at the trot L&R
- Show 2 re-bounds from the walk, trot, canter, and gallop to back up
- In a straight line show 4 simple leads through the walk
- Ride a figure 8 x2 (with 2’ jumps in each turn) at the walk, trot and canter landing on the correct lead x2, landing on a counter canter x2
- Show a trot flex to flex while kneeling on your horse, halt stand still and stand up.

ASSIGNMENT FOUR – LONG LINE
Tools–Ranch rope, stick and string.
- Using the full length of the rope from behind the horse with the rope around their neck
- Show a 7mtr box L&R and 4 trot forward to back up re-bounds
- Show a falling leaf at the trot and canter with four changes of direction
- Show four changes of direction at the trot and canter
- Jump 2 upright barrels L&R spiral in at the canter

ASSIGNMENT FIVE – LONG REINING
Tools– bridle
- Half pass trot rebounds x 4
- Half pass canter rebounds x 4 through the walk
- Half pass canter rebounds x 4 with fly changes
- Pirouette L&R at the walk, trot and canter
- Lead changes through the walk in a straight line every 4 strides
Duration: Within – ?
ASSIGNMENT SIX – ROUND YARD
Tools– large round yard or arena, stick and string
- From along side your horse show a sideways re-bound L&R for 20’
- From behind your horse show a 7mtr box L&R
- From in front of your horse show 4 sideways re-bounds over 7mtrs at the trot then canter
- Show the falling leaf at the trot and canter x 4
- 2 changes of direction at the walk trot and canter, spiral in at the canter

ASSIGNMENT SEVEN – THE IMAGINATION CHALLENGE

- Use a minimum of any 5 elements from the homework cards of this level and showcase the skills and comunication that you have developed with your horse, demonstrate flow and rhythm.
