As the son of a stockman, Shane grew up thinking that motorbikes were a far better option than horses when it came to work and recreation. The horses that came and went through the stockyards where his father worked and his family lived, were often vicious and dangerous and provided good sport for the men who attempted to ride them.

It wasn’t until after Shane and Meredith met that Shane took up horse riding and then only tentatively as it seemed that there were so many rules and regulations that it took a lot of the fun away.

After discovering natural horsemanship, Shane’s true talents were unlocked as his ability to see patterns and understand the horse’s way of thinking and moving were utilised. His skill at reassuring the horse and knowing instinctively what they need to help them be confident and perform to the best of their abilities, is paramount in the way in which he goes about them and draws out their best.

Shane is a true visionary and leader in developing horses and humans. His time is spent educating Quantum Savvy’s top students to become outstanding horsemen and instructors, and in developing and improving the QS Programme’s teaching systems. Both he and Meredith are committed to providing exceptional horsemanship knowledge to Quantum Savvy students from all over the world.
